In
concert with the Ministry of Health Operational Review Team, CHM performed an
Analysis of Acute Care Clinical Resource Audit of all sites and programs and
implemented a formal corporate concurrent review utilization management program
for the three acute care sites of the organization. CHM provided InterQual
training to utilization nurses and three physician reviewers.
CHM
also performed Emergency Services Review and Bed Management Review at each
site. In addition to this review, CHM performed a coding validity study and a
utilization review of Mental Health Services at HHSC and St. Joseph’s Hospital
in Hamilton.
